lyrics

Hook
Must be something in the water
In my head I’m caught up
But the way I was brought up
Joy was never contrived
Why these doldrums

Wanting deep is not bravery
Pollock f that/ that’s slavery
Demons talking- tricky dicks
You better kill that -pick a brick
9 to 5 got the whole of me
Regretful past got the whole of me
Common dawg you owe no apology
Why is so much sadness in ya poetry
Trapped in your own milky way Like a slip away
Without pretense right here you are a kick away
The moment you go they forget you like the Aztecs
Shaded glasses /your eyes they wear bags

Hook
Must be something in the water
In my head I’m caught up
But the way I was brought up
Joy was never contrived
Why these doldrums [2x]

In my own room I’m pacing
Anxiety /panics/ I’m not faking
These demons some where they are taping
For a rewind show, I think I’m crazy
You better find me a medicine cupboard
don’t get it /these hormones are warlords
On the losing side of the scoreboard
Wear my mask all day, you can’t even see the turmoil
This is make up on a clown
In an abyss I’m rising down
Like many without purpose I hide in a crowd
After the party insomnia owns me like a shroud
Waving but these nightmare got me taken
Doggy dog world living is so painstaking
Reptilia everywhere sneakin into my haven
Free is not free don’t be slave to your craving menhh

Hook
Must be something in the water
In my head I’m caught up
But the way I was brought up
Joy was never contrived
Why these doldrums
